Immediately after the end of the race in Qatar last weekend, Red Bull’s Helmut Marko had controversially suggested that Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli had intentionally let McLaren’s Lando Norris past to finish fourth rather than fifth and help him earn an extra couple of points ahead of yesterday’s Drivers’ title decider in Abu Dhabi.

This year’s World Skateboarding Tour (WST) concluded over the weekend as skateboarders from 45 nations came together to compete in Japan’s southernmost island of Kyushu. 184 skateboarders took part in the finale which began on Thursday 27th November with both the men’s and women’s finals taking centre stage on Sunday 30th November.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in the Sprint event at the recent round in São Paulo, Brazil, but neither managed to finish the following day’s Grand Prix after contact with other drivers, although Leclerc was blameless for his race-ending incident.

In the early hours of Sunday morning local time in Las Vegas, the FIA stewards have disqualified the McLaren cars of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri from the results of the Grand Prix there after the usual post-race scrutineering checks found that both had failed to comply with the minimum height of the rear skid blocks.

The Formula 1 season continued in the USA’s Las Vegas this weekend, a city best known for its heady mix of extravagantly themed hotels, gambling, live entertainment and Sin City reputation, and it was Red Bull’s Max Verstappen who hit the jackpot after dominating today’s Grand Prix, which had begun at 8pm on Saturday local time (4am Sunday GMT).
